The Austrian SUP pioneer Peter Bartl starts the 2013 season with JP-Australia. Bartl’s biggest 2012 achievements in the young sport of SUP are the first place of the German NP SUP Trophy, the third place at the longest race in the world – the 11 City Tour in Holland and the first place at the Salon Nautic Paris Sprint race last December.

Peter Bartl, who apart from racing also holds courses for certified SUP instructors, will be involved in JP-Australia R&D. He will work closely with Werner Gnigler (JP Shaper) and Marko Postonjski (JP Product Manager) on the development of the new Race boards and Inflatables.

Peter will compete at a number of 2013 Stand Up World Tour European stops and is still the strongest force to be reckoned with at the NP SUP Trophy.

Here is what Peter had to say: “I am looking forward to working together with the guys at JP who are already very successful with their windsurfing part of the business and are also heading the same way with SUP. I am very motivated and can hardly wait for the race season to begin.”
