INTERVIEW WITH OLIVIA PIANA:
Tell us a bit about yourself and how you got into stand up paddling?
I have been windsurfing since couple of years now. I always love being on the water. One day, when there wasn't enough wind to windsurf, I tried to enjoy waves with a friend's SUP and I felt so good on it that I couldn't leave it!
Why Fanatic boards?
Because I love the red color!
What is your favourite board?
Fly Race 12'6 and ProWave 8'2.
So far you won almost all events this season, how come and how does that feel?
I spent a lot of time on the water last winter: SUP wave and race, windsurf and kitesurf. I gained endurance and technical qualities. My experience in triathlon gave me the racing mind. The Stand Up is a mix of everything I love, so I'm feeling very well on it!
And what was your favourite experience on a SUP?
My favorite experience is the La Torche SUWT. To win my first world cup, have met great people and share unforgettable moments.
What are your plans?
My main plan is to enjoy a lot of time on the water as much as possible. My objectives for the end the season are: the Battle of the Paddle, the SUWT Finale in Oahu, according to my budget, and the wave and race French Championship
