Their base is located in Ciudad Valles, a town of 150,000 people, in the Sierra Madre Orientals on the eastern side of Mexico (nearest airport Tampico, 2.5 hours away). All of the rivers in the Huasteca region are spring fed, clean, and crisp with a deep turquoise blue color. The area is well known for the amazing waterfalls. There also is an excellent river wave near by. The SUP season starts in October (end of rain season)
