Final Registration: 19 February
Team confirmation, payment, seeded competitor lists and all documentation must be finalized with the ISA by 19 February 2012 to participate in the 2012 ISA World Standup Paddle and Paddleboard Championship.
The event has a LIMIT ON THE NUMBER OF ATHLETES PERMITTED, so the ISA urges teams to finalize the complete team registration and payment as soon as possible (see “Registration Requirements” below).
Competitors will be accepted on a first come first serve basis. Register today to confirm your registration.
An Athlete is NOT guaranteed a space in the event without Registration and Payment.

Discipline will be conducted as 4-man, double elimination heats
SUP RACING
4.5km Technical Race Open
12’6″ and Under
Some equipment will be supplied by Event Host:
(20) 12’6” NSP SUP Racing Boards available on “1st come, 1st serve basis”: must be requested in advance by email to ISA and confirmed in writing by the ISA.
Boards will be available for both Men and Women heats.
Men’s Discipline will be conducted as (2) heats of 24 with Top 12 advancing to the Final.
Women’s Discipline will be conducted as (2) heats of 12 with Top 6 advancing to the Final.
The Technical Race features an offshore course that will challenge competitors’ technical, surfing and athletic skills. Technical Race competitors will compete multiple laps of an off-shore circuit that will include an exchange area where they must beach their equipment for a short sand run around a course flag. The race will have a beach start and beach finish
18km Marathon Race Open
12’6” and Under
Some equipment will be supplied by Event Host:
(20) 12’6” NSP SUP Racing Boards available on “1st come, 1st serve basis”: must be requested in advance by email to ISA and confirmed in writing by the ISA.
Boards will be available to (20) total athletes as Men and Women will run together.
Discipline will be a Point-to-Point race conducted as a FINAL with both Men and Women races held together with a staggered start for each race
The course is very demanding and challenging, and therefore we strongly encourage all participants to account for hydration and nutrition on their board/persons during the race as this is an important safety consideration
PADDLE TEAM RELAY
1 Male, 1 Female from each of the 2 racing disciplines, Paddleboarding and SUP (total of 4 members)
400-1000m per relay leg
