The second Battle of the Coast is in the making. The first one in 2012 was a real battle, with great races and lots of challenges for all competitors. In 2013 The Battle of the Coast will be back even bigger with a two day event.
For elite competitors, The Battle will consist of one day of sprint racing in the ancient city of Haarlem and the second day with a beach race at the Northsea in Zandvoort. For recreational paddlers, a tour through the city of Haarlem and appropriate beach races and relays are also organized. Here is a video of the 2012 race:
