The 2014 Battle of the Coast SUP Race will take place in Holland from June 6th to June 7th.
The 2013 Race, organized by Hans Schouten (and his team Hester Ozinga, Nancy Wesselsz, Mayola Dijksman, Emma Reijmerink and Carla Schellart), who was also the 2013 Eleven City Tour Race Director, was (except for the Dutch weather) a great event that saw many international riders like Bart de Zwart and Silvia Mecucci. It was a two day event, on the first day there were sprint races on flat water near the Haarlem Windmill, on the second day there was a Beach race in rough seas in Zandvoort at the wonderful The Spot Beachclub. Bring your wetsuit!
The event was a Eurosupa race last year and we hear it might even be part of something bigger in 2014! Stay tuned for more info!
